Fall Inspiration: A.P.C. FW 2012

So I have been on a long road trip down to Florida and back and it seems I have left summer behind. To be honest I am pretty glad about this as it seems that I all want to wear are coats. The APC F/W 2012 lookbook perfectly encompasses everything I want: mod coats, mini dresses, tights, loafers, and peter pan collars. Perfect for wearing while sipping on cider and looking at the changing leaves.

Fall Wishlist

So to try to stop myself from overspending I have made a wish list. While I obviously cannot get everything from this list, when I do shop I can only pick from items off the aforementioned list.
1)Steven Alan Julieta Dress
I remember this dress from last fall when it was released in a polka dot pattern. I skipped on it but then I saw it on a girl in Soho in the spring. I realized my misstep and added it to the list for this fall.
2) Girl. by Band of Outsiders
I think this dress would be perfect in winter with tights and boots or in the spring with flats.

3) Lover Poppy Flip Dress
Lover. No explanation needed.
4) Peter Pan Collar Shirts
More to fuel the addiction!
4/5) J Brand 811 in Smoke and Sago
I had finally found the perfect fit of jean that I don't need to get hemmed, black and green would be perfect for fall and beyond.
6) Black Skirt
6) Knee High Brown Leather boots
My black knee high boots from five years ago finally died so I am looking for the perfect pair of brown knee high boots to take their place. Still searching...

What's on your list for Fall?

Valentino vs. Zara

When I saw Garance Dore post these Valentino shoes I thought I had died too. My six year old self immediately exclaimed wheeeeeee... then I saw the price, $1,395 is insane. My thoughts of wheeee immediately burst into daayuuum then into ughhhhhh. Yes, many exaggerated letters. However, for the many of us not blessed with so much expendable cash Zara has created a lower price option.
While the strap is black, gaudier studs were added, and it doesn't have the sleek heel. I have to say not bad Zara, not bad. Ultimately the choice is up to you, $1,395 or $89.90? Do you splurge or save?
